The 1305-AA03A belongs to the 1305 series of adjustable frequency AC Drive (Series C)  manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Adjustable frequency drives are used to control the speed, motor movement, and torque rate for industrial equipment by using an integrated network for ease of use for the consumers. The motor power rating of the 1305-AA03A is 0.37 to 4 kilowatts and the work power of this drive is 0.5 to 5 Horsepower. This range of work power lets the adjustable frequency drive be compatible with a large range of products. The voltage ranges of 1305 adjustable AC drive are 200 to 240 Volts AC which is single-phase or 200 to 230 Volts AC available in three-phase power. The communication system of this device does not include a human-machine interface module, unlike other series of adjustable AC drives marketed by Allen-Bradley. For safety and precaution, the 1305-AA03A is fitted with an enclosure that is the  IP30 NEMA Type 1. This specific drive is pre-installed with an English drive module.

The 1305-AA03A does not offer speed-sensitive overload protection and thermal memory retention for further safety. This means that users must be vigilant to make sure that excess speed does not pass through the drive in order to avoid damage to the product. The 1305-AA03A has the capability of installing third-party motor excessive-temperature-sensing motion controllers if this is required for industrial purposes. This adjustable frequency drive contains electrostatic discharge-sensitive parts. The users must be extremely careful about following the correct installation procedure since an incorrect installation can result in damage to components or an overall reduction in the life of the product. Wiring or application errors, an undersized motor, an insufficient AC power supply, and excessive temperatures will cause damage to the product.
