Allen Bradley 1391-AA45

The 1391-AA45 Pulse Width Modulated Servo Controller by Allen-Bradley is a 45A dedicated single-axis controller used for control of the positioning and motion of different machine parts in an automated system. It has 300V DC nominal BUS output voltage, with a continuous 45A output, which will eventually peak at 90A (RMS), and it comes with an integrated shunt regulator. The controller has an output power of 1kKW, with 30kW peak value, and it comes with a 38A (RMS) maximum circuit breaker rating, and a 1300A (Symmetrical Amperes) circuit interrupt rating. The 1391-AA45 offers a 1.5 x RATED MOTOR/RPM Static Gain (A/RPM), and a 1.03 or less form factor. It features an integrated circuit breaker, a shunt regulator resistor which dissipates all the heat generated by the motor during regenerative braking, a compact Logic box which can be inserted and removed easily for quick diagnostics and troubleshooting, and it also offers protection against transient voltage.

The 1391-AA45 also offers a 20-200% (to 90A max) adjustable peak current of the rated motor current and it has a load-dependent controller efficiency of 85%. It has a modulation frequency of 2.5 kHz (-+10%), with a 0.07RPM/ºC maximum drift, and it has zero dead bands. It also has an integral fan output of 50CFM, and it utilizes a 230V AC (three-phase) transformer at 50-60Hz, with 35.5V AC control voltage, and also with an input tolerance of +10% to -15%. The 1391-AA45’s operating temperature range is 0-60 ºC (32-140 ºF), at a relative humidity range of 5-95%, without condensation. It can still retain optimal function at an altitude of 1000m (3000ft). It weighs approximately 15.47Kg (34lb), and it is CSA, IEC, and UL-certified.
