About 1370-RFS
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1370-RFS regenerative field supply module is part of Series C of the 1370 modules and it is intended for use with DC motors in industrial environments. This 1370 module provides a regulated shunt field supply for DC motors within a current range of 0.5 to 15 Amps. The 1370-RFS module has 4 potentiometers and a 17-point terminal block that is used for calibration and connections. Besides that, the module is a 4-quadrant unit that features special internal and effective thyristor fuse protection. This kind of module can operate on line voltage or receive power from the transformer. The main purpose of the 1370-RFS module includes the regulation and reversal of the field current along with regulation of field forcing/Armature voltage for constant motor operation.
The power input of the 1370-RFS module includes line voltage with a low voltage range of 208 to 250 Volts AC and a high voltage range of 416 to 500 Volts AC. Besides that, the line voltage has a nominal voltage of 230/460 Volts AC and a maximum RMS short circuit current of 200,000 Amps. The line current has a maximum draw of 16 Amps RMS AC. The module features single-phase operation and a line frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. The maximum DC voltage of the shunt field output is 0.85 x AC input (RMS). The module also has a selectable voltage of 240 Volts DC or 500 Volts DC has for its armature voltage feedback. The 1370-RFS module has 4 main component groups, including control logic circuit boards, crossover regulators, power supply regulators, and advanced CMOS circuity. This 1370 module allows for the checking and adjustment of parameters such as the field current, field feedback, crossover, and crossover gain.
