The Allen-Bradley 1336E-AQF10-AN-EN drive is an advanced variable speed drive. This 3-phase AC drive is part of the Allen-Bradley 1336 IMPACT family. It is installed in industrial automation systems that require precise motor speed control. The purpose of the 1336E-AQF10-AN-EN drive includes rectifying the 3-phase 200 to 240 Volts AC input voltage to a fixed DC voltage, which is electrically filtered and put into storage by using the right-sized DC bus capacitors. This kind of DC bus voltage is then again transformed to variable voltage by using 3 pairs of IGBTs. These IGBTs are actuated for time periods that are calculated by a microprocessor to achieve the needed RMS value of the output voltage. The speed of the motor is directly proportional to this RMS value of the output voltage.
