Allen Bradley 1336-MOD-KA010

The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KA010 is a Heavy Duty Dynamic Brake for 1336 series AC drives. It is intended to be used with all 1336 series AC drives, including 1336 PLUS, 1336 PLUS II, 1336, 1336VT, and 1336 FORCE drives. The 1336-MOD-KA010 dynamic brake represents an accessory that can increase the braking torque capability of a drive, even doubling it. This bulletin 1336 accessory is intended for use with 200 to 240 Volt AC drives, rated at 10 Hp. This device can dissipate up to 375 Watts of heat and should be enclosed in a standard industrial IP20 rated housing. It should not be exposed to dust, water, or corrosive vapor.

The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KA010 heavy-duty dynamic brake can apply 100% torque for 20 seconds with a 20% duty cycle. The user should be able to tell when the braking is activated, by the dynamic brake signal lamp that is visible on the housing. There is also a signal light for DC power which is present when there is a power on the input side of the device. This item is protected against overheating. It has a built-in thermostat which disables braking if the excessive temperature is detected. Another type of protection that is implemented is an internal fusing. The 1336-MOD-KA010 is an enclosed assembly with dimensions of 193.5 millimeters (7.62 inches) x 441.4 millimeters (17.38 inches) x 174.5 millimeters (6.87 inches). Its shipping weight is approximated at 6.8 kilograms (15 pounds). Users are advised to operate this drive at -10 to 50 degrees Celsius (14 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. This module must be positioned in the vertical position during the installation.
