sAbout 1336-BDB-SP64C
The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP64C gate drive board is a Series C gate drive board spare part for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Force series adjustable frequency AC drives. This gate drive board provides gate control that is based on user command input, and it is installed on the gate drive mounting plate between the main control board mounting plate and the drive’s chassis. The 1336-BDB-SP64C board is supplied as a spare part kit consisting of a gate drive board and an installation kit. The 1336-BDB-SP64C board is backward compatible with the Series A and B boards, and it can also be replaced by the 1336-BDB-SP64D Series C and up boards. It is designed for the 460 Volts AC rated 1336 Force drives with 3 Horsepower output ratings and with a B Frame rating.
To replace a gate drive board, first, disconnect the power from the drive and remove the drive enclosure. Remove the main control board mounting plate (see the 1336 IMPACT-6.2, 1336 FORCE-6.2, or 1336 PLUS-6.2 trouble-shooting guides) and then detach the jumper connectors J2, J6, J7, J8, J9, J10, and J13 and the TB4 and TB7 terminal strips. Remove the 8 stand-off screws fastening the gate driver board to the mounting plate and remove the board. Replace it with a new gate drive board and repeat the above steps in reverse order to install the new board. The 1336-BDB-SP64C gate drive board should be tested for open fuse conditions whenever one or more of the drive modules are replaced. To test the gate drive board, set the testing to resistance mode, and check for an open condition at fuses 1 and 3 on the board. Replace the board if there is any open condition on the fuses.
