About 1336-BDB-SP55C

The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP55C board kit is a kit that contains a gate drive board kit that can be used to replace a faulty gate drive board in 1336 PLUS, IMPACT, FORCE, and PLUS II series adjustable frequency drives. The 1336-BDB-SP55C board kit works with AC drives that are rated for 460 Volts AC input voltage and 25 Horsepower output power. For Series C and later drives, it works with the 1336 PLUS, FORCE, and IMPACT series drives. For Series A and later drives, it works with the 1336 PLUS II series drives. The 1336-BDB-SP55C board kit is compatible with Frame B drives. Gate drive boards like the 1336-BDB-SP55C board kit accept a low power input level and produce high current at the output. The output from the board is applied to an IGBT brake or a power MOSFET transistor.

A major cause of failure for solid-state drives such as Allen-Bradley 1336 drives is ESD or electrostatic discharge. Precautions should be implemented while working with drives containing ESD-sensitive parts. The most important ESD precaution is the use of grounded wrist-straps during drive repair and maintenance processes. Additionally, the surface of the workbench that is being used should be grounded. The floor of the work area should also be covered with a grounded conductive material. The technicians should ground themselves prior to touching the drive components. During module replacement, the faulty module should be kept in a static shielded container after removal from the drive. The new 1336-BDB-SP55C module should be removed from its static shielded package at a static-safe work area. Correct handling procedures should be used for module handling to prevent damage to the sensitive components.
