Manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, the 1336-BDB-SP51A Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is a Gate Drive PCB and part of the 1336 PCB product line. It operates on 480 Volts AC input power and a Horsepower rating of 500 Horsepower. It is a spare part for drives in Allen-Bradley’s 1336 AC Drives product line and is used as a replacement part for the 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, IMPACT, REGEN, and FORCE variable frequency AC drives. This board and other boards in the series are made to work as a spare part for a specific drive in the 1336 series. The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP51A Gate Drive PCB and the entire 1336 AC Gate Drive PCB series are compatible and work with the AC drives with a Horsepower rating of 3 to 800 Horsepower, and they are powered by the voltage of the 1336 Drives they are installed in.
The 1336-BDB-SP51A Gate Drive PCB is placed slightly under the 1336 drive’s main control board, and it amplifies low-current input from the main power supply. It is mounted close to the main control board and bolted in place using 8 secure deadlock screws. Avoid repairing or servicing the 1336-BDB-SP51A Gate Drive Board with the power supply on. Additionally, the users must ensure that all the capacitors are disconnected and given sufficient time to discharge. This is essential because this printed circuit board is sensitive to electrostatic discharge. Also, the operators are advised to wear a grounding wrist strap whenever handling, repairing, servicing, replacing, or installing this board and other Gate Drive PCBs for safety purposes. These drives have dangerous voltages that may cause severe or fatal injury due to electric shock. Therefore DO NOT make an effort to repair the 1336-BDB-SP51A board without the help of a qualified technician or troubleshooting manual.
