Allen Bradley 1336-BDB-SP50D

The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP50D is the gate driver PCB for the 1336 FORCE / IMPACT / PLUS / PLUS II series of variable frequency AC drives from Allen-Bradley. It is compatible with the 600 HP/575 V (G-Frame) drives from the above-mentioned product lines. The 1336-BDB-SP50D PCB is available as a spare part and one PCB is required per drive. The 1336-BDB-SP50D is a replacement for the obsolete 1336-BDB-SP50A and 1336-BDB-SP50C PCBs.

Extremely high voltages are present in operational drives. To prevent equipment damage and/or operator injury, the manufacturer has made several recommendations regarding replacement of parts for the 1336 FORCE / IMPACT / PLUS / PLUS II series of drives. The most important recommendation is that the main system power to the drive should be turned off before any maintenance activity is carried out. The activity should be initiated after the bus voltage has fallen to zero volts (bus voltage can be measured at the brake terminals). Additionally, only trained staff should perform the maintenance activity and should either follow procedures mentioned in the troubleshooting guide or they should perform the activity under the supervision of relevant manufacturer support teams. Furthermore, service staff are required to wear a wrist-type grounding strap to prevent equipment damage due to ESD. After the replacement of faulty cards (including the 1336-BDB-SP50D) is complete, all guards should be replaced. Failure to do so could lead to death or serious injury. The main system power to the drive should only be reapplied after the replacement of all guards has been carried out.
