Allen Bradley 1305-BA04A

The 1305-BA04A is an electronic hardware manufactured by Allen-Bradley that is used to provide speed control solution of induction AC motors. This hardware belongs to the 1305 Product Bulletin of Adjustable Frequency AC Drives.

The drive’s required input supply is a 3-Phase Voltage ranging from 380/460V. With an appropriate supply, the drive is capable of driving an AC induction motor through its output capabilities of 4.0 Amperes, 1.5 kilo Watt or 2.0 Horsepower. The frequency of this drive is programmable with range of 0-400 Hertz. Other parameters include Power Factor of 0.8 Lagging and Power Dissipation of 52 Watts.

This drive is provided with a SCANport communication terminal. With SCANport enabled, this drive may be attached with communication modules such as 1203-GD1, 1203-GD2 that is used to convert Remote I/O to SCANport messages to allow the drive accept instructions from Allen-Bradley controllers that is installed with a native RIO port or RIO communication module.

Additionally, this drive may be installed with communication adapter to allow direct connection to data communication networks such as Single Point Remote I/O Communication Module, RS232/RS422/RS485/DF1/DH485 Serial Communication Module, DeviceNet Communication Module, SLC/SCANport Module, Flex I/O SCANport Terminal Base with Module.

Other accessories that may be installed to this drive include Human Interface Module (HIM) that is used to configure the parameters of the drive and also utilized to locally control the unit, acknowledge and reset alarms. As this drive does not include this component, the mounting area of the HIM is installed with a blank plate to protect electrical connections. Furthermore, if Human Interface Module of other 1305 drive existing in the plant may be used for this unit.
