About 20-COMM-Q
The 20-COMM-Q is a PowerFlex Architecture Class Ready ControlNet fiber adapter which is classified as a PowerFlex AC drive spare part. Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the 20-COMM-Q is intended for use in PowerFlex Drives classified under the PowerFlex 7 series. It is also used for network communication functionality. This PowerFlex Architecture Class Ready ControlNet fiber adapter features various components that help in ensuring that the 20-COMM-Q achieves maximum functionality. This includes 4 status indicator lights that help in monitoring the functionality of the drive. It also helps in monitoring the adapter and also in making network connections. The 20-COMM-Q also features a DPI connector which comes with up to 20 pins with a single-row shrouded male header. It also has an internal interface cable that is connected to the connector on the drive.
The 20-COMM-Q comes with a Channel A fiber receptacle that functions as the Channel A V-Pin connection to the network. The module also features the Channel B Fiber Receptacles for offering a Channel B redundant V-pin connection to the network. The node address switch is also included to ensure that the module switches to the set node address. The 20-COMM-Q is typically mounted to a PowerFlex 7 class drive. The 20-COMM-Q is supplied with captive screws that secure and ground the adapter to the drive. This is while the 20-COMM-Q has been mounted in the DPI External Communication Kit and to the Kit’s metal enclosure. The module also comes with a good compatibility for the various configuration tools that help in configuring the adapter and also in configuring the connected host drive.
