sAbout 1336-GM2
The 1336-GM2 serial communication module adapter has been designed to operate with the variable frequency drives from the 1336 series by Allen-Bradley, specifically from the 1336 Plus II series. This communication module provides a means to connect with different devices that are included in the same network that the drive and motor are connected to. Its importance lies in the fact that it provides different communication options between this adjustable frequency drive and other devices. The Allen-Bradley 1336-GM2 serial communication module adapter needs to be attached to the drive in the proper way to make sure that all the parts have been connected and are working perfectly. It is important to note that communication modules have the particularity of circuits during installation and after being put into operations. It is important to determine the pollution level of the atmosphere in the area where the adapter will be installed. Prior to its installation into a frequency drive, it is important to determine if both pieces of equipment are compatible.
The Allen-Bradley 1336-GM2 serial communication module adapter needs to be mounted to the proper adapter component. The place for this module is located near the main control board of the host drive. It is important to have a technician perform this installation so that there will not be any loose cables around that might impede the correct functioning of the communication module. The recommended environmental conditions are a maximum ambient temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a maximum ambient humidity level of 95% without condensation. Overheating must be avoided to ensure proper operation and to extend the life of the module and the drive itself.
