sAbout 1336-BDB-SP22D
The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP22D gate driver PC board is manufactured by Rockwell Automation and it replaces the obsolete Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP22A board. The compatible 1336 series drives are those that have frame sizes of A, B, C, D, and E and that have an HP rating of 40 HP. The input voltage of the 1336-BDB-SP22D board is 575V AC and it is also known as the 74101-482-53 part. Note that users can only install 1 board per 1336 drive. The 1336 series of drives come in 5 different types, and these, in particular, are CLASSIC, PLUS, IMPACT, PLUS II, and FORCE, with the 1336-BDB-SP22D board able to work with all these types. The HP ratings of these AC drives range from 3 to 800 HP and they generally have an enclosure rating of NEMA Type 1, 4, 12. For general performance operations, it is recommended that operators use CLASSIC, PLUS, and PLUS II drives, while the FORCE and IMPACT drives are ideal for operations requiring high performance.
Safety features generally available on the 1336 series of drives and on the 1336-BDB-SP22D board include protection against motor overload, against under and overvoltage, against output ground faults, and against output short circuits. A hardware enable is also available on all 1336 drives and this is found on the non-programmable Input Terminal 30 of each drive. When this input is opened, the drive will ignore the stop mode that has been set and will instead do a ‘coast to stop’. Users can also choose between various human interface modules (HIM) that are available for these drives and the options are the programmer, digital, blank, and the analog HIM. Users can also find a UL panel recognition on each drive and the ports present are the RS232/422/485 ports, analog I/O, Enhanced DeviceNet ports, single-point RIO, and DeviceNet ports, among others.
