About 1305-BA06A-DE
The 1305-BA04A is used to modulate the speed of an AC induction motor to allow implementation of a more sophisticated control involving the equipment. This product has electronic components including a programmable register that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation for the Adjustable AC Frequency Drives.
Adjustable AC Frequency Drives increases or decreases the speed of a connected motor by varying the output frequency of the hardware. Varying the speed may be accomplished with the use of a Human Interface Module (HIM) or through a Potentiometer and analog input. Due to the effect of varying frequency to the speed of motor, it is most commonly termed as Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or Variable Speed Drive (VSD).
The drive’s required input supply is a 3-Phase Voltage ranging from 380/460V. With an appropriate supply, the drive is capable of driving an AC induction motor through its output capabilities of 6.0 Amperes, 2.2 kilo Watt or 3.0 Horsepower. The frequency of this drive is programmable with range of 0-400 Hertz.
The drive is capable of accepting parameters through network instructions utilizing Remote I/O communication. Remote I/O is an Allen-Bradley proprietary communication that utilizes Block Transfer Read and Write instruction in the PLC. It was mostly utilized during the active lifecycle of PLC5 and SLC500 programmable controllers. To allow the drive to receive messages from Remote I/O network, it may use SCANport to Remote I/O communication adapters. Other communication protocol such as Serial, RS485, DH485 and DeviceNet is also supported by this drive.
As previously mentioned, speed control of this drive may be accomplished through the HIM. As this drive does not include a HIM, it must be purchased separately. If using a potentiometer, the potentiometer must be wired to the corresponding terminal with a resistance range of 1 to 10k Ohms. For analog input, acceptable input signal types and range are 0-10VDC and 4-20mA. Additionally, this drive has a secondary language module, which usually comes with German preinstalled.
The Allen-Bradley 1305-BA06A-DE is a flexible and compact 380-460V AC adjustable frequency AC drive with a German language function. It has a frequency of 50-60 Hz, 3-phase input voltage, and an IP30, NEMA Type 1 enclosure. At 380V AC input voltage, it has a 3HP or 2.2 kW power output with a 6A output current. The 1305-BA06A-DE is ideal for several applications requiring powerful AC induction motor speed control. It is a member of the Bulletin 1305 series of variable speed drives. The 1305-BA06A-DE Variable Frequency Drive meets global OEM application standards. It is programmed using a PLC Remote I/O or HIM function, however, it is still operational even without an additional Human Interface Module. When operating without an HMI, the control functions are managed through the TB2 control terminal block and an external frequency source is needed for this. To use the control terminal block (TB2) for frequency control, an input to SW3 at TB2 is required. When it comes to control wiring, common terminals are internally connected to the chassis ground within the 1305-BA06A-DE. All signal wiring must run in separate steel conduits. When switching signal inputs to common inputs, use only dry relay contacts, isolated 4-20mA sources are recommended.
