The Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley 20AB4P2A3AYNANNN is a 4.2 Amps drive facilitating a user-adjustable frequency to drive motors that are manufactured with only an on/off support. When installing the drive, common errors include the drive not responding to start commands from the terminal block or not responding to the start commands from the human-machine interface module (HMI). The 20AB4P2A3AYNANNN may not respond to start commands from the terminal block if it has a fault, incorrect input wiring, or incorrect digital programming if the Safe Torque-Off option is present, or when the Safe Torque-Off option does not have inputs.
The above faults are either indicated by a blinking red or yellow status indicator. However, the drive does have a physical LED indicator when a digital input is incorrectly programmed. The 20AB4P2A3AYNANNN supports clearing these faults either by pressing “stop” on the human-machine interface module or cycling the power to the drive. Also, rewiring the inputs correctly can help clear the faults. Note that the 20AB4P2A3AYNANNN’s failure to respond to start commands from the human-machine interface module can occur when the drive’s start button is inactive for 2-wire control which the drive is programmed to accept. This fault can be addressed by determining the type of control that is needed, i.e 2-wire or 3-wire control. The Rockwell Automation 20AB4P2A3AYNANNN can also fail to respond to changes in speed if the source of the command is not transmitting any values, the wrong reference has been chosen, or when a remote device is being used to determine the reference point.
