The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP13D PCB Gate Drive Board is a printed circuit gate (PCB) for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus, Plus II, Force, and Impact adjustable frequency AC drives. The gate drive board acts as a power amplifier by accepting low input power signals and converting them to high current input for the drive’s high-power transistor control. The 1336-BDB-SP13D PCB is designed for Series C and upward Plus, Force, and Impact drives with 230 Volts AC rating and Series A and upward 1336 Plus II drives with 230 Volts AC rating. This board is compatible with the 15.0 Horsepower rated 1336 Plus II (Series A and upward), Plus, Force, and Impact drives (Series C and upward).

The 1336-BDB-SP13D PCB comes as an assembly kit with 1 gate drive board and factory-supplied screws for installation. Generally, the 1336-BDB-SP13D Gate Drive Board is located between the drive’s main control board and the main chassis, but this may vary slightly from model to model. The 1336-BDB-SP13D PCB is recommended for testing and eventually replacing whenever the drive’s power module is changed. To test the 1336-BDB-SP13D Gate Drive Board, first, disconnect the drive from the power source. Then unplug the gate drive board and test for open field conditions at fuses F1 and F3 using meter set to the resistance mode. To install the 1336-BDB-SP13D PCB, remove power from the drive and detach the main control board. Replace the old gate drive board with the new one, and connect the J2, J6, J7, J8, J9, and J10 jumper connectors and Terminal TB6 connector to the board.
