sAbout 1336-B005-EAD
The 1336-B005-EAD is an adjustable frequency AC drive manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The AC drive belongs to the Classic family of 1336 series of adjustable frequency modules. The Allen-Bradley adjustable frequency drive offers 9.6 Amps output and its maximum frequency range lies between 50 and 60 Hertz. The adjustable frequency drive has a maximum torque of 20 pounds on an inch. The 1336-B005-EAD from Allen-Bradley has a “B” code which signifies that the drive has 3 phases, and it can operate at three different input voltages. At 380 Volts AC, the drive produces 6.3 kVA, at 415 Volts AC, it generates 6.9 kVA, and at 460 Volts AC, it produces 7.6 kVA. Its high voltage makes the drive suitable for heavy mechanical systems. Furthermore, the EAD enclosure type signifies that the Allen-Bradley 1336-B005-EAD AC drive has a NEMA/UL Type 1 (or IP20) enclosure which protects the drive from solid foreign objects, such as falling dirt. The protection Index 20 says that the enclosure offers some amount of protection against objects more than 12 millimeters in size, but it cannot guard against water or other liquids. The NEMA Type 1 (Protection Index 20) enclosures are meant for indoor use.
In case of a fault, it is recommended to consult the fault code description table to have a clear idea about the fault diagnostic procedures to pinpoint and rectify the problem in the system. While troubleshooting, installing, or repairing the 1336-B005-EAD drive, take all of the necessary precautionary measures to prevent electrostatic discharge. The drive produces an extremely high voltage that can cause severe injuries to the users or permanent damage to other system components. Static control precautions are a must while servicing the drive. For example, when removing the circuit board from the drive, it is recommended that the users wear wrist type grounding straps which should be grounded to the chassis. The wrist straps should be put on before removing the circuit board from the packet. After removing the board, it should be inserted into the conductive package immediately. Further safety information can be found in Publication 8000-4.5.2 issued by the manufacturer.
