About 20-750-DNET

The Allen-Bradley 20-750-DNET module is a DeviceNet option module. It is used for enabling DeviceNet network connectivity on PowerFlex 750 drives. Components of the 20-750-DNET module include a DeviceNet connector which is a 5-pin connector for the DeviceNet network cable (a 5-pin plug is provided with the module), node address switches, a data rate switch, and 3 status indicators. The 20-750-DNET module can be installed on all Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 755 and PowerFlex 753 drives. The network protocol supported by the 20-750-DNET module is the DeviceNet protocol. The supported data rates are 125 kbps, 250 kbps, and 500 kbps. The default data rate setting is the autobaud rate which can only be used if a different device on the network has set the data rate. The DPI protocol is used for communication with the drive at a rate of 500 kbps. The module draws 50 milliamps of current at 14 Volts DC from the host drive. The power consumption of the network is 60 milliamps at 24 Volts DC, which is supplied by the network. The dimensions of the 20-750-DNET module are 68 x 150 x 26 millimeters. The approximate module weight is 62 grams. The installation or storage of the module in an environment containing corrosive gas, vapors, or dust is not recommended. The relative humidity should be maintained between 5 and 95%. For optimal operation and performance, the operating temperature should not exceed the recommended range, which is from 14 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The ambient temperature range in the area used for the storage of unused 20-750-DNET modules should be between -40 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Allen-Bradley 20-750-DNET PowerFlex Adjustable Frequency Drive communication module is an option module that is compatible for use with the PowerFlex 7 Series.

The 20-750-DNET is provided with one (1) 5-pin linear DeviceNet plug which is mounted to the DeviceNet interface for termination of the DeviceNet cable and one (1) Drive Peripheral Interface (DPI) for connection to the host drive. This module has a current draw of 50 milliamperes at 14 Volts DC that is supplied by the host drive and 60 milliamperes at 24 Volts DC that is supplied by the network. It also comes with a set of rotary switches that is utilized to set the module address as well as the communication rate.

The 20-750-DNET DPI interface is available to this drive and supports a transmission speed of 500 Kbps. This is used by the module to communicate with the host drive for accessing, monitoring, and modifying parameters. Additionally, the 20-750-DNET’s DeviceNet communication interface supports a transfer speed of 125 Kbps, 250 Kbps, 500 Kbps, or Autobaud detection. With this module, Autobaud may only be set in another device residing on the network has its data rate set.

This module has an operating temperature of -10…50 °C (14…122 °F) and a storage temperature of -40…85 °C (-40…185 °F). It has a relative humidity of 5-95%, non-condensing. This module must not be installed in application areas with corrosive gas, vapors or dust. It carries certification from UL, c-UL, CE and C-TICK.

From the net to the phone call, everyone was eager to help! They knew what they were talking about, and delivered what they promised! Doesn't get much better than that!

Texnite provided a power supply module which saved our NYC power plant customer from an emergency outage. We placed our order late in the afternoon. Even though it was well past their same day shipping cutoff time, Texnite still made an extra effort to ship our order immediately and the module arrived before 8am the following morning.
