It provides cooling and temperature control for the drive. It is packaged with components which include a fan with leads, sealant, a connector with leads, 2 splices, and a grommet. The 1336-FAN-SP5A Replacement Fan is installed on the side of the drive’s heatsink close to the bottom of the inverter housing. The 1336-FAN-SP5A Heat Sink Fan Kit is installed safely on the drive via the following steps: (1) Remove power from the drive, (2) Thread the lead on the kit assembly through the opening of the drive, (3) On the opening of the fan wires, attached the supplied grommet, (4) The fan leads are joined together using the supplied splice, (5) Connect the fan connector (wiring harness), and fastening the fan cover to the fan using the supplied fastening screws, (6) Apply the supplied sealant to the wires at the chassis hole to seal and prevent entering of unwanted particles (7) Turn the drive on and monitor it for proper air current flow.
