The 1336-FAN-SP5A is a replaceable cooling component that is installed with Allen-Bradley’s 1336 Plus, Plus II, Impact and Force adjustable frequency AC drives. This fan is installed on the heat sink side of the Frame H and G drives.
This product belongs to the 1336 Drive’s Level 3 Assembly with Troubleshooting Symbol Guide denoted as FAN. It comes with a C-HB1 cap included. Use One (1) unit of this component to each of drives with output power of 250 HP, 300 HP, 350 HP, 400 HP, 450 HP, 500 HP, 600 / 650 HP or Frame G drives and 700 HP, 800 HP or Frame H drives.
As the entire 1336 Drives are obsolete, this component has been declared obsolete as well. This part is available as spare-part only as Rockwell Automation does not manufacture this product anymore.
Fans are essential component of almost any compact equipment. Frame G and Frame H drives power dissipation ranges from Relative parameter to the performance of the fan is found under the drive’s Parameter 70 which is Heatsink Temperature. It is a read-only parameters that displays the updated temperature of the heatsink that is displayed in Deg. C. This parameter has a minimum value of 0 and maximum of 255 Deg. C however, the drive’s operating temperature is 0 and 50 deg.
Aside from the integrated fan, the drive’s environment may be properly maintained to the specified operating temperature by following the required mounting clearance and installing appropriate climate control devices. It is important to note that this fan evacuates air from the drive which means a warm air from the drive is retained within the enclosure. An enclosure fan may be installed to evacuate air from the enclosure to continuously purge warm air outside of the panel.
The Allen-Bradley 1336-FAN-SP5A Heat Sink Fan Replacement Kit with a Fan Capacitor, is a heatsink side fan replacement assembly kit (known as Fan 2) for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus, Plus II, Force, Impact, and Force Frame G and H Adjustable AC Frequency Drives. It provides cooling and temperature control for the drive. It is packaged with components which include a fan with leads, sealant, a connector with leads, 2 splices, and a grommet. The 1336-FAN-SP5A Replacement Fan is installed on the side of the drive’s heatsink close to the bottom of the inverter housing. The 1336-FAN-SP5A Heat Sink Fan Kit is installed safely on the drive via the following steps: (1) Remove power from the drive, (2) Thread the lead on the kit assembly through the opening of the drive, (3) On the opening of the fan wires, attached the supplied grommet, (4) The fan leads are joined together using the supplied splice, (5) Connect the fan connector (wiring harness), and fastening the fan cover to the fan using the supplied fastening screws, (6) Apply the supplied sealant to the wires at the chassis hole to seal and prevent entering of unwanted particles (7) Turn the drive on and monitor it for proper air current flow. The 1336-FAN-SP5A Side Heat Sink Fan Replacement Kit has an ambient working temperature range of between 0 and 50 deg. C (32 and 122 deg. F) at 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, and it has a storage temperature range of between 0 and 50 deg. C (32 and 122 degrees F.
