sAbout 1336-BDB-SP51D
The 1336-BDB-SP51D is a gate driver board compatible with the 1336 series of adjustable frequency AC drives, including the plus, and force series. This part is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Gate driver boards are mainly used to receive low-power input and convert it into a high-current input, which is then delivered to several parts of the drive. Gate driver boards have been considered as a level shifter combined with an amplifier. The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP51D gate driver board is fully compatible with drives that operate at an input voltage range of 460 Volts and a Horsepower rating of 500 Hp.
It important to note that being an electronic part, this gate driver board is sensitive to certain environmental conditions, it should not overpass an operating temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, a relative humidity of 95% without water dropping and condensation and also, nor the drive or this part should be exposed under any circumstance to corrosive ambient atmospheres. These conditions must be met in order to enlarge the life of the drive and gate driver board and, at the same time, have a high-performance drive with the ability to operate in a smooth way. The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP51D gate driver board is an internal part of the adjustable frequency AC drive. It is located below the motherboard. In order to install the gate driver, the motherboard should be removed. It is utterly important to discharge all the electric parts of the drive before proceeding. The gate driver board should also be included in a grounding system to help minimize electrical interference.
