About 1398-PSM-50
The 1398-PSM-50 module by Allen-Bradley is a power supply in the 1398-PDM-xx series. The 1398-PSM-50 is different from other power modules because can single-handedly supply power to a 6 ULTRA PLUS PDM module. It requires no adjustment, it can protect itself from overload and troubleshoot itself, and it comes with a solid-state BUS DC capacitor.
It also has an inbuilt shunt regulator which facilitates and accelerates the DC BUS capacitor’s discharge and synchronizes the dynamic emergency motor brake. The 1398-PSM-50 is a power supply module with three-phase RMS Line voltage between 115 and 240 Volts DC and a BUS output voltage of 325 Volts DC. It has a continuous output current of 50 Amps and a maximum shunt power rating of 20kW. At an operational temperature of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) and a 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, the 1398-PSM-50 will dissipate 600W heat. The 1398-PSM-50 can be stored and shipped at a temperature of -40 and 80 degrees Celsius (-40 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit). It weighs 11.9 kilograms (26.2 pounds).
