The 1336E-BRF50-AN-EN-HA2-L8E is a part of the 1336 IMPACT Adjustable Frequency AC Drives manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is a microprocessor-controlled digital drive that features a high-performance field-oriented current loop, smooth speed/torque control, non-volatile parameter storage, and a user-friendly interface designed for easy commissioning and setup. With Bulletin number 1336E, this 380 to 480 Volt AC voltage module comes in English language code with a standard 3.7 kW (5 Hp) nominal HP rating at 0 to 250 Hertz constant torque and an Open (IP00) enclosure type. Additionally, it has a Programmer/Controller human interface module with Digital Pot rated at IP20 (NEMA Type 1) and a 24 Volt AC/DC & Encoder Feedback control interface option.
The 1336E-BRF50-AN-EN-HA2-L8E Adjustable Frequency AC Drive can be configured with either an input circuit breaker or input fuses for circuit protection. For IEC installations per IEC947-2, the use of a Bulletin 140 140-MN-1000 Circuit Breaker with rated service short circuit capabilities of 16,000 per 400 to 415 Volts is recommended. For UL/CSA installations, the HMCPS015E0C Circuit Breaker with the MCP trip setting D and a maximum short circuit rating of 65,000 Amps should be used. Take note that the HMCP Circuit Breaker is a magnetic trip device only, and should be used in the lowest possible trip setting in a particular application.
The 2 or 3 wire control 1336E-BRF50-AN-EN-HA2-L8E Module is equipped with an internal voltage reflection reduction mechanism. This reduces motor overvoltage through a controlled minimum dwell time that allows voltage transients to decay. Because of this, the run length of motor cables used in the installation process is greatly increased before a terminator is required. To minimize the effects of a reflected wave on motor insulation life, use inverter duty motors that have phase-to-phase insulation ratings of 1600 Volts or higher. The 1336E-BRF50-AN-EN-HA2-L8E uses the SCANport communications protocol to communicate with external devices. This capability can be accessed without any special configuration. The use of the SCANport protocol can be customized to the user’s individual application needs by changing the default configuration.
