sAbout 1336-CONV-SP1A
The 1336-CONV-SP1A conversion kit is a front-end conversion kit that is used as a replacement part for the original part in the 1336 series by Allen-Bradley. This conversion kit is used specifically with the FORCE series of adjustable frequency AC drives. AC drives work as a controller for variable speed induction motors. This drive helps induction motors to change speed and torque levels without causing damage to its structure, and this helps preserve the life of the motor. The Allen-Bradley 1336-CONV-SP1A front-end conversion kit includes a complete C-frame drive, a bus indicator, a bus fuse, screws to attach the snubber board, 2 IGBT shorting devices for the J7 and J8 connectors, and a label to mount next to the nameplate of the drive. There are several parts that are not included in this kit such as the main control board, gate driver boards, a precharge board, mounting brackets, a drive enclosure, and mounting hardware.
When installing the 1336-CONV-SP1A front-end conversion kit, it is recommended to have an environment that is free of static since these parts are highly sensitive to electrostatic discharge. The necessary tools for the correct installation of this conversion kit are pliers, a Phillips screwdriver, standard screwdrivers, and a torque wrench that is rated in pounds on an inch. It is also recommended to have a C-frame troubleshooting guide. The 1336-CONV-SP1A front-end conversion kit has been specially designed to work with drives with a 460 Volts AC voltage rating and an output power rating of 3 Horsepower.
