Allen Bradley 1336-BDB-SP53D

The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP53D PCB gate driver board is a gate driver replacement board for the Allen-Bradley 1336 FORCE, PLUS, PLUS II, and IMPACT adjustable frequency AC drives. This board helps amplify signal input from the control circuit board to produce a high drive signal input for the insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) switch. The 1336-BDB-SP53D board is located on the drive main mounting plate between the drive’s main control board and main chassis, and it is connected to various drive board and components via interconnecting jumper connectors and terminals. The 1336-BDB-SP53D board is installed by first removing power from the drive, and attaching the 1336-BDB-SP53D replacement board to the gate driver board mounting plate by using the 8 factory supplied stand-off screws. The high voltage auxiliary input and the various jumper connectors are then attached, and the power is turned on to ensure complete installation. It is recommended that the gate driver board be tested whenever a module is replaced. To test the gate driver board, a test meter set to resistance mode can be used to test for open fuse conditions.
