About 20-750-CNETC
The 20-750-CNETC module from Allen-Bradley is an optional communication module. It is designed for use with PowerFlex 750 drives and it enables ControlNet communication. The 20-750-CNETC module communicates with a PowerFlex 750 drive over the DPI protocol at a data rate of 500 kbps. For network communication, the module supports the ControlNet protocol. The data rate is fixed at 5 Mbps. A coaxial cable with a BNC connector is required for connectivity with the ControlNet network. The module supports 16 simultaneous CP messaging connections, 32 simultaneous unconnected messages, unlimited input only I/O connections, and 1 listen-only I/O connection, a maximum of 3 redundant-owner I/O connections, and 1 exclusive-owner I/O connection. The requested packer interval is a minimum of 5 milliseconds. The module supports a maximum 400 I/O packets per seconds (200 out and 200 in).
The 20-750-CNETC module draws 250 milliamps from the host drive at 14 Volts DC. The weights and dimensions of the module are 62 grams and 2.7 x 5.9 x 1 inches, respectively. The recommended storage and operating temperatures for the module are -40 to 85 and -10 to 50 degrees Celsius, respectively. The components of the module include 4 status indicators, node address switches, and a primary and a secondary (redundant) coax receptacles. Prior to the installation of the 20-750-CNETC module, the ControlNet coax media planning and installation guide should be read and the availability of all the required equipment should be verified. The next step is node address configuration followed by the connection of the module to the drive and then to the network. Finally, electrical power should be applied to the drive.
