The 1391-T015DT isolation transformer from Allen-Bradley is an isolation transformer for Allen-Bradley 1391B-ES AC servo controllers. The 1391-T015DT isolation transformer is rated at 1.5 kVA at 60 degrees Celsius. It weighs 27 pounds and measures 10 x 13 x 9 inches. Primary voltages for the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer are 240 to 480 Volts AC (3-phase, 60 Hertz). The secondary voltage rating for the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer is 230 Volts AC (3-phase) and it has four 35.5 Volts AC rated single-phase windings. The isolation transformer power dissipation at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100% loads are 13, 25, 38, 50, and 60 Watts, respectively. The 1391B-ES controller must be operated from the output of a transformer with 2 outputs rated at 230 Volts AC (3-phase) and 36 Volts AC (single-phase). Transformers supplied with 1391B-ES controllers can provide power for up to 4 controllers.
The 36 Volts AC output from the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer is used to provide power to the logic control board on the 1391B-ES controller. Only technicians trained in the installation of servo systems –which include the 1391B-ES controller and the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer- should plan and implement the servo system. Incorrectly installed servo systems can cause equipment damage or lead to a reduction in the operational life of the system. The servo systems should be panel-mounted in a suitable enclosure which is ventilated with filtered or cooled air. For proper airflow and wring access, a minimum of 3 inches of separation should be maintained around the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer. The air temperature around the 1391-T015DT isolation transformer should be kept lower than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The installation of servo systems at an altitude above 3300 feet is not recommended.
