sAbout 1336-MOD-KC010
The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-KC010 heavy-duty dynamic brake module comes with an IP 20 rated NEMA Type 1 enclosure for protection. Its voltage rating is 500 to 575 Volts AC and the drive rating is 007 to 010. It has 52.7 Ohms of dynamic brake resistance and 2063 Watts of average power dissipation. Its weight is approximately 6.8 kilograms. The 1336-MOD-KC010 dynamic brake module has the ability to increase the braking torque capability of a drive by up to 100%. The input DC brake power of this module is supplied from the DC Bus. The 1336-MOD-KC010 dynamic brake module can be used with the AQF05 to A010, BRF05 to B250, and C007 to C250 1336 PLUS drives and the 1336 FORCE drives.
The 1336-MOD-KC010 dynamic brake module has a thermostat to protect it from overheating and component damage. The thermostat will disable the brake if it senses extreme ambient temperatures in order to cool the components to their rated operating temperature. The brake option is not available during the cooling period. The chopper module of this dynamic brake module contains 5 significant power components such as protective fuses, a crowbar SCR, a chopper transistor, chopper transistor voltage control, and a freewheel diode. If the current rating is insufficient for applications, it can be applied in parallel. If the application needs more than one dynamic brake module, one module can be identified as the Master brake module while the other modules are follower modules. When installing and wiring this module, make sure to follow the National Electrical Codes (NEC) and local regulations. The information which is provided by the manufacturer must be considered when installing conduits and engaging in AC/DC power wiring as well as control wiring.
