The 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 is a product from Allen-Bradley. The module is actually an adjustable frequency drive that operates on AC voltage. The Allen-Bradley AC drive belongs to the 1336 classic series of drives, most of which have been upgraded according to modern-day requirements. Along with the basic features (the drive rating and enclosure type) the 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 adjustable frequency drive has two noteworthy options that set it apart from the other drives in the series. The “L3” is a factory-installed option which indicates that the drive comes with a logic interface board. The logic interface board of the 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 operates at 115 Volts AC. The AC drive with a logic interface option features a MOD-L1, -L2, or –L3 board on the main control board. The logic interface board should be connected to J8 and J9 junctions on this board. It helps control the wiring configurations without disassembling the drive. Users can easily identify the fault and take the necessary actions quickly.
Moreover, there is an optional serial port connector for connecting one drive board to another. Other basic features of the 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 include drive rating B and NEMA Type 1 enclosure. The 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 can operate at three input voltages; 380 Volts AC, 415 Volts AC, and 460 Volts AC. It has 3 phases and 9.6 Amps of output current. The Allen-Bradley 1336-B005-EAD-L3-S1 has an operating shock of 50 to 60 Hertz and its maximum torque is 20 pounds on an inch. All the drive components are housed in a large frame that measures 11.13 inches by 8.76 inches by 18.75 inches. As far as the enclosure type is concerned, it is relatively sturdy and has NEMA Type 1 accreditation. The NEMA or UL Type 1 enclosures meet the standards of Protection Index 20, which means they can offer protection against substances larger than 12 millimeters, but they cannot prevent water, liquid or small dirt particles from entering the device. This is why this particular drive is recommended for indoor systems. The adjustable frequency AC drive should be handled carefully because of the components that may have a hazardous voltage, such as printed circuit boards. Before testing, servicing, or assessing the fault, it is recommended that the power should be disconnected and the voltage on the terminal block should be measured. Make sure that the neon indicator on the base drive board has gone off and the voltage of the bus has discharged to zero volts.
