The Allen-Bradley 1326AB-MOD-RJAB1 junction box kit is a junction box kit for Allen-Bradley B5 and B4 series motors. It offers connectors that are axially mounted to the motor connectors, minimizing the wiring requirements. The axially mounted connectors have connections that are located in the rear or front. The 1326AB servo motors maintain the IP 65 protection rating at all times, but they lose the higher IP 67 protection rating upon the installation of this kit. The 1326AB-MOD-RJAB1 junction box kit uses connector cables that are right-angled and that are accessible in lengths of 5 meters, 15 meters, 30 meters, 60 meters, and 90 meters. Before the installation of the connector cables, Allen-Bradley recommends that all the cables be either laid flat or hung vertically for at least 24 hours. Also, this junction box kit has 3 different screw sizes: eight 6-32 x 0.5 inch, six 8-32 x 0.5 inch, and four 4-40 x 0.5 inch screws. The recommended installation for the Allen-Bradley 1326AB-MOD-RJAB1 junction box kit includes motor connectors preparation. The junction box should be fixed into the motor housing, the motor connectors should be fitted inside the junction box, the side cover plate should be fitted on the side of the junction box, the top cover should be placed on the junction box, and lastly, the rear cover plate should be fitted on the motor’s housing. Always use the right screws to complete the installation.
