The aluminum housing on the 1326AB-B430E-S2L comes extruded to improve the transfer of heat. The 1326AB-B430E-S2L is designed such that it can hold a disc-type brake that is spring-set when power is removed. Therefore, the motor can hold a load while at rest, providing a limited braking torque to support emergency braking. There are various adapters that can be used for mounting encoders to the 1326AB-B430E-S2L.
